But God

july 19“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

The phone rings, the text comes in and suddenly everything changes. Life as it was is no longer. The world just got rocked. The storm is here and here to stay it seems. The pain is real and not easily shaken.

What’s the next step? Hide, run, ignore, call, pray, read, or research? The first thing to remember is that He knew, and He knows the outcome. That alone should be reassuring, but it requires trust and trust is not easy.

Life is scary, uncertain, and has just thrown an unexpected curve ball. It is easy to sulk and hide, or run the other direction. But, the situation doesn’t change. Research yes, read a book, search the internet –  the answer must be there. Call a friend, maybe they have the answer, share what was learned in the research. The pain doesn’t subside it’s now just shared.

The only answer is prayer and scripture; God has the answer. God holds the peace. God knows and God is. When we let go and let God there is peace. It’s still not easy but it is covered. We know that God has a reason and a plan. We can’t change it, but we can trust His plan. There Is rest in letting go and letting God.

“Father, open my eyes to trust You more; don’t let me get caught up in the storm. Let me see what You see, help me not to fear the uncertain but trust Your plan. “

For His Glory,
